Description
Grange Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century and later. It has two storeys and features a main range constructed of flint, with a string course, dressings, and diaper patterns in red brick. The roof is fully hipped and covered with clay pantiles. The internal layout follows a basic three-cell plan with an internal chimney that has a recessed panel and a corbelled head to the plain shaft. The facade includes a range of four large-paned sash windows with segmental arched heads. The entrance door is off-centre, half-glazed, and recessed, featuring a semi-circular stilted arch above the fanlight and surround.
At the rear, there is a mid-19th century two-storey extension with a steeply-pitched black-glazed pantiled roof and walls made of random kidney flint interspersed with red brick headers. This finish continues along the south side and rear of the main range. The extension has three-light casement windows, some with small panes, and rounded arches to the red brick surrounds. Additionally, extending northwards is a long single-storey range of flint outbuildings with clay pantiles and a lean-to slate-covered veranda supported on posts along the west side.
