GV II

House, now used as a dental surgery. Early C19. White brick and slate roof. A plain parapet with stone coping and a raised stone band. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and cellars. 3 window range: 12-pane sashes in plain reveals with wide flat gauged arches and projecting stone sills. Recessed door with 6 sunk panels and moulded surrounds in a brick segmental-arched doorway with fluted columns has a fanlight with intersecting glazing bars. A long early C19 2-storey rear range has 16-pane sashes in flush cased frames with segmental arches. INTERIOR: much modernised and extended. A small front cellar has brick and rubble walls and old render; another cellar at the rear has a segmental vaulted ceiling in old red brick. A much-restored original stair rises to the attics: the front windows have panelled internal shutters. Several mid to late C19 marble fireplace surrounds. The 2 upper front rooms have plaster cornices, moulded on the right and with a floral and leaf design on the left; both rooms have been extensively sub-divided. Several 6-panel doors with raised fielded panels on the top storey.
