Description
31-34 Well Street is a terrace of four houses built in the early to mid 19th century. The houses feature white brick fronts with red brick sides and rear, topped by a slate roof that has a paired modillion eaves soffit. The terrace is three storeys high with basements. The front of the buildings slightly projects above each door and between Nos. 32 and 33, where wide flat pilasters with moulded plaster heads are located below the eaves. There is a four-window range, with 12-pane sash windows on the ground and first storeys, and 6-pane sash windows on the top storey. All windows are set in plain reveals with gauged brick arches and stone sills. The entrance doors are four-panelled and have plain rectangular fanlights, framed by wood doorcases that include panelled reveals, panelled pilasters, and cornices. The interior has not been inspected.
