Description

Park Gates is a gate-house to Ickworth House, built in the early 19th century. It has one and a half storeys with attics and features two windows. The walls are rendered with a painted brick plinth and painted flint return walls. The roof is hipped and covered with glazed pantiles, and there is an axial chimney with square flues that have sunk panels. The building includes gabled pantiled dormers, each with four arched-headed lights. The wooden oriel windows consist of four lights, each featuring diamond and hexagonal leaded lights. The entrance door is a six-panelled design with an arched head.
