Description

The entrance gates, gatepiers, and railings to Ickworth Park date from the early 19th century. They feature rectangular limestone gate-piers topped with a moulded cornice and fleur de lys finials. The gateway includes a pair of heavy wrought iron carriage gates with spear-head standards and a frieze of linked circles. There are also matching pedestrian gates on the piers and flanking railings. This structure has group value with the gate-house known as Park Gates.
