Description
The gate piers with flanking doorways and walls at the entrance to Maes Manor are constructed of reconstituted stone and date from the 18th century. The main carriage entrance is wide and is flanked by pedestrian entrances. It features panelled square piers topped with ball finials, although the gates themselves are missing. The pedestrian entrances have lower outer piers with moulded caps and round-headed doorways that include keystones. These doorways are fitted with studded doors that have strap hinges. The convex outer walls are made of coursed rubble and have saddleback copings, curving out towards the road and ending with shallow square piers.
