Description
North Lodge is a two-storey building influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement, featuring roughcast walls with rusticated quoins and a replaced concrete tile roof that has overhanging eaves and a central roughcast stack. The main gabled range faces east and includes a short wing with a hipped roof set back on the south side. There is a porch located at the angle between the main range and the south wing, as well as a single-storey wing with a hipped roof set back on the north side. The windows are metal-framed casements with leaded lights.
The open lean-to porch has small-pane glazing on the sides, resting on a dwarf wall. The doorway features a boarded door with studs and strap hinges, along with an inserted glazed panel. The right side wall has a two-light window. The main range boasts a two-storey canted bay window in its east gable end, which includes four-light windows, and a tablet dated 1912 in raised numerals is located between the storeys. The gable is covered in tile hanging.
The left-hand (south) wing features a hipped lean-to canopy over a wooden bench on its south wall, along with a three-light window on the upper storey. Its rear (west) wall contains a two-light window on the lower storey, while the main range has two-light windows in each storey to the left of the wing. The rear of the main range includes a three-light hipped canted bay window on the lower storey, a four-light window above, and a tile-hung gable.
The right (north) side wall of the main range has an external stack cut down to the eaves, with casement windows positioned above the eaves under a hipped roof in the upper storey. The two-window single-storey north wing has a gabled canopy over a half-lit boarded door, flanked by casements. Its side and rear also feature similar casements. The building has not been inspected.
