Description

This is a barn located immediately to the north of Lodge Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. It is timber-framed and weatherboarded, topped with a corrugated asbestos roof. The barn features an open porch on the north side and consists of four bays with full height studs and primary braces. The trusses are supported by straight braces and tie-beams. The roof is made up of eight bays, with two bays corresponding to one bay of walls, and includes a ridge piece along with two rows of slightly-stepped butt purlins and straight collars. The barn is positioned sideways to the road. Attached to the south side is a single-storey range that is also timber-framed and weatherboarded, featuring a pantiled roof.
