Description

The Barningham War Memorial is located prominently in the churchyard, just outside the east end of the Church of St Andrew, which is a Grade I listed building. It is near other listed monuments in the churchyard and Church Farmhouse, both of which are Grade II. The memorial features a polished red granite obelisk that rises from a square plinth with a single-stepped base, standing approximately 2.1 meters high.

The main inscription on the east face of the plinth is in incised and gilded lettering and reads "TO/ OUR GLORIOUS DEAD/ 1914–1919/ (9 NAMES)." Additionally, there is another inscription on the south face of the plinth that states "ALSO/ 1939–1945/ (4 NAMES)."
