Description
The Covehithe War Memorial is a grey granite structure located in the churchyard of the Church of St Andrew, which is a Grade I listed building. It stands approximately 20 meters south of the church tower and is situated opposite the Grade II-listed Whitehouse Farmhouse and Anchor House. The memorial features a plain Latin cross that rests on a rough-hewn, tapering base.
On the south face of the plinth, there is an inscription in raised leaded lettering that reads: "THIS CROSS WAS ERECTED BY/ THE PARISH TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN MEMORY OF/ (4 NAMES)/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR/ THEIR COUNTRY IN THE/ GREAT WAR/ 1914–1918."
