Description

This is a 17th-century barn located 30 meters east of Little Finborough Hall, with alterations from the 18th century. The barn has about six bays with aisles and is constructed from timber framing and weatherboarding, topped with a thatched roof. The south side features boarded barn doors at the center, along with various boarded stable doors. The framing is typical of the 17th century, with a clasped-purlin roof. The aisles are simply framed, lacking bracing except for aisle tiebeams. The westernmost bay appears to be a slightly later addition, possibly used for stabling. There has been significant remodeling in the 18th century, along with lower extensions added in the 19th and 20th centuries at both the east and west ends.
