Description

Meadow Farmhouse is a former farmhouse with a core dating to the 15th century, altered and enlarged in the 16th and 17th centuries to form a long, single range. The construction is timber-framed and plastered, with a thatched roof. The building is two storeys high and has four windows, featuring various 19th-century casements. A 6-panel door, with the upper two panels glazed, is located to the left of the centre, sheltered by an open timber porch. There are two internal stacks; the larger and likely earlier one is situated on the right. The left gable end is faced with 19th-century red brick up to eaves level and contains two mid-20th century reproduction diamond-mullioned windows. The interior has not been examined, but the original core is said to have contained a former open hall.
