Description
Moore's Green Farmhouse is a former farmhouse dating from the late 16th century, featuring a two-cell main range with a service range likely added in the 17th century. The building has a T-shaped plan and is constructed with timber framing that is rendered, topped with a thatched roof. It is one and a half storeys tall and has mid-20th century casement windows of a standard single-pane type. The main range includes an internal stack, with the shaft having been rebuilt in the mid-20th century. At the rear of the service range, there is a boarded half-door, which is enclosed by a conservatory-style porch.
Inside, most of the structure is concealed, but the main range consists of two bays. The upper floor features papered-over heavy studding and reverse-curved braces, along with a newel stair and a side purlin roof. The service range has less substantial, widely spaced studding and retains an original window with diamond mullions.
