Description

MELLIS MELLIS GREEN (NORTH SIDE) TM 17 SW 4/40 Barn about 40m north of 29.7.55 Elm Tree Farmhouse (formerly listed as Elm Tree Farmhouse and barn)

GV II Barn. Early C18. Red brick. Steeply pitched plaintiled roof. 7 bays. Central gabled midstrey with a boarded door towards house, opposing double doors. To front left a boarded door, to right a low projecting former barley kiln with a hipped roof. Slate roofed lean-to links midstrey and kiln. Kneelers to gable end parapets with tumbled-in brickwork. Interior: knees to tie beams, butt purlin roof with collars to principal rafters.
