Description

This is a late 17th or early 18th century barn situated to the north-east of Manor Farmhouse. The barn is constructed of local red brick with a plain tile roof, featuring parapet gables and kneelers, and a saw-tooth brick eaves cornice. It is two stories high and includes a brick band between the floors and a plinth. The butt-purlin roof, spanning eight bays, remains almost intact, along with the original floor frame. The easternmost bay was once used as a malting, featuring a vent, although the malting floor has been removed. A lean-to addition is located to the south-east. The north-facing elevation contains four small windows within segmental arches on both floor levels, as well as a plank pitching door and a ground floor entrance door. Internally, a pump dated 1778 is present.
