Description
This is an 18th-century barn located approximately 10 yards south of High Elms Farmhouse. It is constructed of red brick with timber wall plates and features a plain tile roof. The barn is one storey high and has four roof bays. There is a door to the right of the center that replaces an earlier full-height entrance, with loft openings positioned to the left, right, and center. Blocked ventilation holes create lozenge patterns on the exterior. To the left, there is a low lean-to extension with a door and a blocked loft opening on the southeast gable. Inside, the roof trusses are made up of angled struts that extend from the tie beam to the principals, with a single pair of purlins.
