Description
Leafields Farmhouse, along with an attached wall and gate pier, dates from 1837. It is constructed of red brick and features an overhanging hipped slate roof with brick ridge stacks at both the front and rear. The building has two storeys, with sill bands and a bracketed eaves course. It is designed with three bays, where the ground floor windows are recessed under semi-circular heads, and the first floor windows have plaster architraves, with the central window featuring a scrolled head. The farmhouse has a central gabled break and a central half-glazed door that has a semi-circular head and a Tuscan surround, along with a shaped plaster date plaque on the gable. To the right, there is a slightly lower set-back service bay that includes an external gable end stack and a small full-height extension at the inner corner. Attached to the right side of the farmhouse is a three-yard length of wall and a gate pier.
