Description

Batkin House and the house occupied by Mrs. Heathcote are a pair of houses built in the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed of red brick with a slate roof and feature brick ridge stacks. The buildings are two storeys high and have an eaves band. There are four windows, which are glazing bar sashes with bracketed hoods, and a bow window located on the ground floor to the right of the center. A central alley opening leads to the door of Batkin House, while the right-hand house, occupied by Mrs. Heathcote, has a six-panelled door with a rectangular overlight and a bracketed hood. This pair of houses is well preserved and holds good group value.
