Description
This barn, located 50 meters east of Manor Farmhouse, dates from the mid to late 16th century. It is constructed of narrow red bricks in English bond and features buttresses at the corners of both long walls, as well as an inset pair at the south gable. The barn has a splayed plinth and an offset at mid-height. The roof, which is made of Roman pantiles, was added in the 19th century and has a lower pitch than the original. The structure consists of three bays, with an original brick porch at the center of the west side that was lowered and given a lean-to roof in the 19th century. Chamfered ventilation loops with broad inner splays are present along the side walls and gable ends at two levels. Some tiebeams from the original five-bay roof remain, while the rest of the roof was rebuilt in the 19th century.
