Description
High Hall is a house dating from around 1600, featuring two storeys and attics. It has a three-cell lobby-entrance plan and is constructed with a timber frame and plaster, although the plaster was removed in the 20th century to reveal painted arch windbraced studding with plaster infill. The roof is thatched and includes an axial early 17th-century chimney made of red brick with three octagonal shafts. The windows are mainly early or mid-20th century casements with leaded glazing in hexagonal and diamond panes, although some may date back to the 17th century. There is a 20th-century thatched gabled entrance porch with a boarded door, along with various 20th-century extensions featuring false half-timbering. The interior has not been examined.
