Description
Manor Lodge is a house likely dating from the late 16th or early 17th century. It has a two-storey, two-cell end-chimney plan. Originally timber-framed, three sides were encased in red brick in the early 19th century. The south gable retains its original narrow red brick fabric, featuring a crowstepped parapet and a chimney with twin octagonal flues, all dating from the late 16th or early 17th century. The roof is covered in concrete plain tiles. An 18th-century external chimney of red brick is located on the right side. The house has early 19th-century small-pane casement windows, with cambered heads to those on the ground floor. The doorway is positioned at a cross-entry, featuring a 19th-century outer frame and a fully glazed door inserted in the mid-20th century.
