Description
Meadow Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century, built in two phases. It features a timber frame with plaster and a colourwashed brick gable end on the left. The roof is tiled with plain tiles at the front and pantiles at the rear. The building is two storeys high with an attic and follows a two-cell, lobby entry layout. There are two windows with 18th-century small-paned casements. A later plastered two-storey porch, likely from the 17th century, has a 20th-century door. Inside, there is an internal stack with a plain shaft, mostly rebuilt in 19th-century white brick. The interior has been well restored, showcasing exposed chamfered joists throughout. The staircase features newel stairs, and the attic flight includes an early door. One room on the first floor has an 18th-century cornice, which was brought from another location, adorned with dentils and egg-and-dart ornament.
