Description
Valley Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century, with 20th-century additions. It features a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, designed in a three-cell, lobby entry style. The ground floor has mid-20th-century casement windows, two of which are splayed. There is a gabled porch that includes a mid-20th-century plank door. Inside, there is an internal stack and a 19th-century external stack on the right gable end. The interior showcases good exposed framing, with heavy reversed corner braces, some of which are S-shaped. The hall and parlour have closely spaced chamfered joists, and the roof features one row of wind-braced clasped purlins.
