Description

No. 8, Cross Green is a house dating from the later 18th century. It is timber-framed and plastered, with an exterior finish imitating ashlar. The roof is covered with pantiles. The original part of the house is two storeys high and has two windows. The windows are casements: a two-light window on the first floor and a three-light window on the ground floor, both with horizontal glazing bars. The front door is planked. A stack (chimney) is set against the left gable end. To the right of the original house is a two-storey addition, featuring a three-light casement window and a gable stack. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its contribution to the group value of buildings in the area.
