Description

DEBENHAM HIGH STREET (west side) TM 16 SE 6/109 No.54 (Cloverdene) - GV II

Originally upper end of adjoining house (qv. Item 6/110); latterly 2 cottages, now one house. Late C16 or C17 core, late C19 alteration. Timber framed, the front cased in red brick, the rear with brick outshut. Pantiled roof with glazed black tiles to front slope, which is raised. storeys. 2 windows, slightly inset 4-paned sashes under flat rubbed brick arches. Ground floor windows have paired panelled shutters. Central inset stuccoed panel at first floor. 2 doorways with inset 4-panel and semi-glazed doors. Interior not examined.
