Description

No. 26 is a house dating from the early 19th century, and possibly incorporating elements of an earlier structure. The exterior is finished with colourwashed roughcast render, and the roof is slate-covered. The original layout comprised three rooms across two storeys, which appear to have been raised from a single storey with attic space. The ground floor features three three-light casement windows, while the first floor has three two-light casement windows, all with leaded lights. The ground floor windows are fitted with wooden shutters. A rendered brick chimney stack is located at the left-hand end of the building, and a red brick double ridge stack is also present. A single-storey addition to the right-hand end, built with a pantiled roof, mirrors the architectural style with a similar three-light casement window and an integral brick gable end stack. The building is included on the list for its group value.
