Description

Nos 40, 42, and 44 High Street are a range of cottages dating from the 18th century, with 19th-century alterations. The cottages have a timber-framed structure, with the ground floor rebuilt in brick during the 19th century. The first floor is rendered and the entire building is colourwashed. The roof is half-hipped and covered with clay tiles. The cottages have a total of seven rooms across two storeys. The ground floor features five three-light casements, while the first floor has six two-light casements, most of which have leaded lights. There is a 20th-century part-glazed door, two plank doors, and two blocked doorways.
