Description
This is a timber-framed house, originally dating to the 16th century, and now subdivided into two separate properties. The building has undergone alterations and additions in the 19th century. The structure is timber-framed with colourwashed roughcast rendering, and it has a clay tile roof that is half-hipped at the south end. The original plan consisted of two rooms, and a two-storey addition was built to the west in the 19th century, with a slated roof. The windows are varied and mostly 20th-century casements. There are doorways on the north and south ends, also dating to the 20th century. A significant brick chimney breast of red brick, with flared headers, is visible on the east elevation. Small lean-to additions are present on the east and south elevations. Inside, the ground floor retains substantial moulded beams.
