Description

The crinkle-crankle wall and gates to Chandos Lodge, located on Lambseth Street, date from the late 18th century and feature various repairs. The wall is constructed of red brick laid in stretcher bond, resting on a plinth of Flemish bond. It has bull-nosed coping bricks, with some saddleback coping bricks in the rebuilt section south of the entrance piers. The piers are plain and square in section, supporting wrought and cast-iron gates.
