Description
Hill Cottage is a house from the mid-18th century that has undergone later alterations. It features a rendered and colourwashed timber frame sitting on a tarred brick plinth, topped with a plaintiled roof. The building is one storey high with a dormer attic. On the ground floor, there are two 3-light casement windows from the 20th century to the left of a 20th-century door, and a 2-light casement window to the right. The gabled roof includes one gabled dormer at the eaves line, which has a 3-light casement window from the 20th century. The apron of the dormer displays a 15th-century carving of a lion and a hart supporting a shield with a coat of arms featuring a lion and a tree. A central ridge stack is present. The interior has not been inspected.
