Description
Thatch is a house dating from the 17th century, with extensions from the 18th or 19th century and alterations made in the 20th century. It has a timber frame that is plastered and features a thatched roof. The building appears to follow a three-cell lobby entry plan, though it was likely originally two cells with an external stack, with one bay added to the left. It has one storey and an attic. The entrance is located at the original left end, featuring a half-glazed door set within an open glazed and trellissed porch with a gabled roof. There are two-light glazing bar casements and two projecting triangulated windows from the 20th century, along with two gabled dormers that also have two lights. The ridge stack has been rebuilt and was probably originally external at the left end. The eaves are lower on the added bay, and there are 20th-century additions to the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
