HELMINGHAM IPSWICH ROAD Barn 20m east of Pearl Farmhouse

Barn, C18 with mid C19 remodelling. Originally of 4 bays; an additional bay was added to left in C19. Timber-framed and weatherboarded; the C19 walling is in red brick with crow-stepped parapet gables at either end. A gabled C19 midstrey at the rear has a set of 4 boarded C19 barn doors. Pegged oak studding with long straight primary braces; butt purlin roof. Included for group value.
