Description

This barn, located 80 yards northeast of Bowerland Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century and was altered and extended in the 19th century. It features a timber frame set on a brick and rubble stone base, with weatherboard cladding and a plain tiled roof that is half hipped to the right. The barn has a rectangular layout with five framed bays, including a shuttered opening to the right and a double opposing wagon entrance in the center. There is a brick catslide roof at the left end and a central hipped roof projection above the rear door. Inside, the barn has Queen strut trusses and braced posts.
