FRESSINGFIELD METFIELD LANE TM 27 NE 6/48 - Barn 25m north of Metfieldlane Farmhouse GV II

Barn. Early C17. Timber framed and weatherboarded with a corrugated iron roof. 3 bays, with the former central cart entrance now blocked. The frame is largely intact, with full-height studs and arched bracing at the corners and to each main post. The east bay was originally floored over and used as stables; there is a small window with diamond mullions in the north wall. Intact roof with butt and clasped purlins and arched wind-bracing between.
