Description

The granary at Grove Farm dates from around 1700, with some modifications made in the mid-18th century. It features a weatherboarded timber frame and a pantile roof. There is a doorway on the left side, a lean-to on the left end, and an extension with another doorway on the right end. The rear has small windows and an additional doorway.

Inside, the granary showcases tall panel framing with diagonal braces. The upper floor is accessed by a staircase from the doorway. The roof consists of coupled rafters and clasped purlins. Originally built as a farm building around 1700, it was converted into a granary with an added floor likely during the mid-18th century, and it has seen little alteration since. This granary is part of a group with the nearby barn.
