BROME EYE ROAD TM 17 NW 1/7 Entrance gates 300m WNW of Oaksmere (formerly listed as Cricket Ground

29.7.55 Entrance Gates) II Entrance gates to Oaksmere. C18. Partly rebuilt mid C20. Tall square red brick piers with chamfered rustication; moulded bases; corbelled and moulded caps surmounted by stone spheres. Good paired wrought iron gates with a canopy of scrollwork above. Screen walls in matching style, with copings supported by a corbel cornice. Wrought iron railings above. The terminal piers are smaller versions of the main ones.
