Description
The entrance gates, piers, and railings to West Woodhay House are 18th century features that have undergone 20th century restoration. The gates are made of wrought iron and are complemented by brick piers topped with stone caps and a brick dwarf wall. The double wrought iron gates include dog rails, a scroll lock panel, and scroll standards, and they are flanked by square brick piers with moulded stone corniced caps that support curved stone vases. On either side of the gates, there are approximately 20 meters of spear-headed railings with dog rails, set on dwarf brick walls and also flanked by square brick piers with stone corniced caps.
