Description
This is a gate and garden walls from the 18th century located on the west side of the road opposite the entrance to West Woodhay House. The brick walls are built in Flemish bond and feature saddleback copings, standing approximately 2.5 meters high and enclosing a rectangular garden area. The elevation facing the road includes five piers topped with stone corniced caps. The three piers on the left are connected by approximately 15-meter lengths of wall that rise to each pier. A wrought iron gate with panel standards and a scroll design now links the third and fourth piers, with an additional length of wall situated between the fourth and fifth piers.
