Description
Stone Cottage is a house dated 'J.M 1813' on a raised keystone above the doorway. It features a mid-20th century rear addition and is constructed of flint rubble with a knapped flint facade. The dressings are in white brick, with quoining at the corners and defining the narrower center bay. There is a brick dentil eaves cornice and a hipped roof covered with glazed black pantiles. The building is two storeys high and has two mid-20th century two-light casement windows with horizontal glazing bars, set under segmental arches. The entrance includes a mid-20th century six-panel raised and fielded door with a semi-circular fanlight featuring 'V' glazing bars. Above the door, there is a circular window on the first floor. A central white brick chimney stack is present, and on the right-hand side, there is an original first-floor window with pointed-arch heads to the upper lights, along with a painted dummy window.
