Description
This is a house located at 27 Blyth Road, dated 'J M / 1710'. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features stone slate eaves courses leading to a pantile roof. The building has an L-shaped plan with a rear right wing and an outshut in the angle. It stands two storeys high with an attic and consists of three bays. The corners are accentuated by large quoins.
The front entrance, which is a 20th-century door, is positioned to the left of the center and is flanked by a 16-pane sash window on the right and a sash window with glazing bars on the left, both lacking sills or lintels. Above the door, there is a date plaque with an architrave. On the first floor, a renewed casement window with glazing bars is situated above the door, flanked by sashes with glazing bars. A gabled dormer is positioned above the door. The left side features shaped kneelers and gable copings, along with a stone ridge stack to the left of the dormer, which has an added brick flue. The right return of the rear wing also has shaped kneelers, gable copings, and a brick end stack.
