Description
Kingwood View is a house located on Maltby High Street, dating from the mid to late 18th century, with a later addition. The building is constructed of coursed, squared limestone and features a renewed pantile roof. It stands three storeys high and has three bays, with a three-quarter length parallel range extending to the rear right. The house has chamfered quoins and a central doorway that contains a 20th-century door set within a raised ashlar surround featuring a light chamfer. On either side of the doorway are 20th-century casement windows with glazing bars, located in the original openings, each with projecting sills and flat arches that include keystones. There is a band on the first floor beneath three similar windows, with the central window consisting of a single light. The second-floor windows are shorter, and the central window is blind. The building has an eaves cornice, shaped kneelers, and gable copings, as well as a truncated brick end stack on the right.
