Description

This barn, located 15 meters southeast of The Beeches Farmhouse, dates from the late 16th century. It is timber framed and mostly covered with weatherboarding, topped by a roof made of corrugated asbestos sheeting. The barn consists of three bays and features a central cart entrance with a later gabled porch added to the north. It is a well-preserved structure, showcasing a middle rail and arched braces at the corners. Inside, there are arched-braced open trusses. The roof is also intact, featuring a single row of clasped purlins, queen struts supporting the principal rafters, and arched wind-bracing.
