Description
No 6 on St Helen's Street is an early 17th century timber-framed building that stands two storeys high with attics. The upper storey features exposed timber framing with plaster infill and includes a central splayed oriel window with leaded casements, flanked by high-level mullioned windows. It has a moulded sill beam and a lintel that is carved with the date 1636. The roof is covered with old tiles and has a central flat-headed dormer with leaded casements. Inside, the building showcases exposed moulded ceiling beams and joists.
