It features a five-window range with double-hung sash windows that do not have glazing bars, all set in flush cased frames. The central entrance has a six-panel door, with the upper panels glazed, framed by a wood doorcase that includes a moulded shouldered architrave, a projecting keystone, and a pediment. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop window. The roof is covered with slate and includes two hipped dormers and a modillion eaves cornice. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 2 to 8 (even), No. 1 (Lodge to Christchurch Mansion), the Entrance Wall and Gates to Christchurch Park, and the Brick Wall to St Margaret's Churchyard, along with Nos. 56 and 58 (Cafe Blanchfleur) on St Margaret's Street.
