Description
Milestone 1 is located at the southeast junction of Norwich Road and Chevallier Street. This early 19th-century cast iron milestone has been restored and repaired after sustaining damage and is now re-erected at its current site. The inscription on the milestone reads "St Matthews Parish, Bury 25 miles, Ipswich 1 mile."
