Description

Lonsdale Cottage is a red brick building featuring external characteristics from the late 18th century or early 19th century, and it may have an earlier core. The cottage is positioned at right angles to the road and has a gabled, plastered frontage facing the road. The east side, which overlooks the garden, includes double-hung sash windows set in flush cased frames with segmental heads. The south end of the building has one range of 20th-century casement windows. The roof is tiled and features two gabled half dormers along with two chimney stacks, each having three diagonally set shafts.
