Description

Nos 132 to 138 on Fore Street is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered building featuring a jettied upper storey that showcases exposed timber-framing and a carved bressumer with the date 1620. The structure has two storeys and attics, with an eight-window range of casements. The ground storey contains small 20th-century shops. The roofs are tiled and include three gabled dormers adorned with heavy moulded pediments. A prominent carved projecting eaves board displays motifs that match those on the bressumer. Additionally, the building is weatherboarded at the west end.
