Description
15 Tower Street is an early 19th-century red brick building that stands two storeys high and features a five-window range with double-hung sashes. The first storey includes one window and the ground storey windows are three-light, both without glazing bars, while four first storey windows have glazing bars set in plain reveals. The ground storey windows are adorned with cast iron ornamental window guards. A stucco band and cornice run between the storeys. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door topped by a rectangular fanlight, framed by a plain stone surround. The north side of the building features a wood modillion pediment, and there is a wing that extends west at the rear. The roof is covered with slate. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 13 to 21 (odd), the Ipswich Arts Theatre, and the Church of St Mary-le-Tower.
