Description
The White House is a 18th-century timber-framed and plastered building, featuring a painted brick ground floor with brick quoins and a plinth. It stands three storeys tall and has a four-window range with double-hung sash windows that include single vertical glazing bars in flush cased frames. The second storey has casement windows. The entrance features a six-panel door with a stucco "Gibbs" doorcase. At the east end, there is a two-storey wing that has a two-window range, with one window featuring glazing bars. The roof is covered with 20th-century interlocking tiles and has a moulded wood eaves cornice. A southern wing, now known as No 3 Hatton Court, is also part of the property. The White House is part of a group that includes Nos 2 and 3 Hatton Court and the Church of St Mary-Le-Tower on Tower Street.
