Description

33 and 35 Tavern Street is an early 19th-century building made of gault brick, which is now painted. It has three storeys and features a parapet. The building has an eight-window range with double-hung sash windows that have glazing bars in the upper sashes of the first-storey windows, all set in plain reveals. The ground storey includes a 20th-century shop front. This building continues the facade of a series of early 19th-century fronts that includes Nos 37, 39, 41, and the Great White Horse Hotel. Nos 31 to 41 (odd) and No 43 (Great White Horse Hotel) are part of a group.
